We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for an Electrical Reliability & Control Engineer to become a vital part of our operations team at Cement Australia. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our extensive manufacturing assets.

Role Overview:

As an Electrical Reliability & Control Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and optimization of electrical systems and control mechanisms within our operations. Your role will involve a balanced approach between office-based planning and on-site collaboration with maintenance and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the maintenance and rectification of all electrical and automation systems.
  • Work collaboratively with various teams, including production, engineering, and maintenance.
  • Contribute positively to the site’s safety, health, and environmental (SHE) culture.
  • Foster a continuous improvement mindset, encouraging innovative ideas to enhance plant and process performance.
  • Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Support both preventative and reactive maintenance functions for major site assets.
  • Coordinate with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and procurement teams.

Candidate Profile:

  • Possess a degree in electrical engineering.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in maintenance within manufacturing or heavy industry sectors.
  • Exhibit strong leadership capabilities.
  • Have experience with high voltage (HV), low voltage (LV), and distributed control systems.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety and the ability to influence a positive safety culture.
  • Show excellent investigative and problem-solving skills.
  • Be self-motivated with a proactive and action-oriented approach.
  • Be proficient in computerized maintenance management systems (such as SAP) and Microsoft Office.
  • Possess effective written and interpersonal communication skills.
