Job Title

A Line Cook is required to provide excellent service in a fine dining culinary experience and maintain high sanitation standards.

  • The ideal candidate will follow opening and closing procedures as assigned by Executive Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisors.
  • They must prepare food items according to portion size, quality standards, departmental rules, policies and procedures.
  • The Line Cook should ensure proper food temperatures are maintained at all times.
  • Responsibility for safety standards, neatness and sanitation of work areas is expected.
  • Cleanliness of the kitchen including shelves, walls, floors and drains must be maintained by the Line Cook.
  • The role involves participating as a team player with specific responsibilities related to preparation, excellent service and delivery of product.
  • Maintaining proper sanitation for all dining and cooking utensils and cookware is essential.
  • Kitchen equipment must be handled and cleaned carefully and safely to prevent damage or injury.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • The applicant must be at least 18 years old.
  • Professional training through a culinary education or working in a fast-paced high-volume fine dining restaurant/catering facility is preferred with strong line experience for Ala Carte Service.
  • The ability to interact with co-workers to assure compliance with company service standards is required.
  • A basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette is necessary.
  • Multitasking in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting is essential.
  • The ability to read, speak and write in English is mandatory.
  • Lifting and transporting food and other items weighing up to 30 pounds occasionally 50 pounds is required.
  • Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays is necessary.
  • Sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time is required.
  • A High school diploma or equivalent is necessary. Culinary training is preferred.
  • Three years of experience working in a fast-paced high-end club or restaurant is required.
