Research Data Scientist Position

We are seeking a skilled researcher to fill a Research Data Scientist position in our Statistical Data Science team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and apply statistical spatial and spatio-temporal modelling techniques
  • Implement physical-statistical modelling and Bayesian inference methods
  • Collaborate with researchers on optimal design and statistical machine learning projects
  • Work on time series modelling and uncertainty quantification

The appointee will be part of a vibrant research environment comprising inter-disciplinary expertise in oceanography, engineering, and data science.

Requirements:
  • PhD in Statistics or a closely related discipline
  • Strong statistical modelling skills and programming abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with researchers

This is a three-year position with a possibility for extension.
