Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer

We are seeking a senior-level engineer to join our team in Brisbane, Gold Coast, or Sunshine Coast office. This role offers flexibility and the chance to lead a technical team, while building strong client relationships across Australia.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver projects focused on waste management, water infrastructure, mining, and ground engineering.
- Develop cutting-edge solutions for geo-environmental challenges, integrating waste management into broader infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and review technical documentation for waste-related projects across planning, design, and execution phases.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the waste and geo-environmental sectors, supporting both project delivery and business development initiatives.
- Ensure technical excellence in waste and geo-environmental engineering, overseeing quality and risk management.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative team environment and sharing expertise in waste management and geo-environmental engineering.
- Support operational management by contributing to strategies that drive business growth in waste and environmental services.
Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering.
- Over 7 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong detailed design capabilities.
- Extensive experience in delivering high-quality, detailed design documentation.
- Deep technical expertise in waste management, including the design of landfills, leachate collection and treatment systems, geosynthetics, capping systems, and resource recovery infrastructure.
- Ability to assess and design for subsurface environmental risks, embankments, complex earthworks, and surface water management systems.
- Proficiency in using design software and tools to produce accurate, constructible, and compliant engineering designs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience leading and contributing to multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring integration of design elements across disciplines.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a strong commitment to sustainability, innovation, and technical excellence.
- Proven or developing skills in mentoring and guiding junior to senior engineers, with sound decision-making and project delivery skills.
