Job Description:

Charterhouse is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead and manage projects in the NSW Government sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on major capital works initiatives, utilizing your expertise in project governance, planning, and execution.

About the Role:

This Senior Project Manager position will be responsible for leading high-profile projects, with a focus on delivering results that meet or exceed expectations. Your experience in managing large-scale projects, preferably in a commercial environment, will enable you to navigate complex challenges and drive successful outcomes. Additionally, you will be working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration and stakeholder management.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Lead project teams through project governance and formation to deliver major capital works outcomes
• Develop and implement project plans, including procurement and contracting strategies, ensuring alignment with procurement policy and value for money
• Manage payments of consultants and contractors in accordance with legislation and contracts
• Plan and manage forward works project procurement, engaging consultants and contractors as needed
• Provide timely and accurate project reporting, including cash flows, program milestones, and critical ministerial reporting
• Ensure compliance with the Department's systems, tools, and processes
• Evaluate and manage project progress and performance using program management tracking and monitoring systems

Requirements:

This role requires a professional with significant experience in project management, particularly in construction, engineering, or related fields. You should have:

• Relevant tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications
• 10+ years of relevant project planning and delivery experience, preferably in a large, complex, and decentralized work environment
• Proven experience in managing portfolios of projects with individual values over $20 million
• Strong leadership skills, with experience in guiding small teams and providing constructive feedback to others
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
