About Support Worker Role

We are seeking qualified and experienced individuals to provide enabling, domiciliary, and personal care assistance to people experiencing physical, developmental, and cognitive disabilities in various settings.

  • Follow established policies and procedures
  • Report any incidents or near misses
  • Guide clients in complaints and feedback processes
  • Meet relevant standards and regulations requirements
  • Implement and monitor individual support plans
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress
  • Support clients to develop their ability to coordinate supports
  • Enable clients to travel and use public transport independently
  • Transport clients to therapy, appointments, or day options
  • Assist clients in active community, social, and civic activities
  • Support group-based community activities
  • Bolster client self-image and confidence
  • Audit clients to determine ongoing needs and preferences
  • Assist with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry
  • Take clients shopping
  • Complete household chores
  • Administer medication as required
  • Clean living areas
  • Follow policies and procedures at all times
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned
