Groundwater Systems Specialist

We are seeking a Groundwater Systems Specialist to perform groundwater monitoring activities, download and calibrate monitoring instrumentation, conduct surface water monitoring, and water quality sampling. This role involves extensive fieldwork, which includes hiking, working from boats, 4WD driving, and operating in remote areas.
This position is based in Hamilton VIC and requires working alone and as part of a team across locations in South-western VIC. The successful applicant will be required to stay away overnight from time to time.
What You'll Do- Field water quality sample collection from mainly groundwater monitoring bores.
- Report creation and tracking, with assistance in reporting updates.
- Conducting environmental data collection activities for both surface and groundwaters using specialist software packages and scientific instruments.
- Servicing, calibrating, and maintaining onsite monitoring equipment and associated sensors.
- Maintaining and installing new works.
- You must be proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools or be willing to learn.
- Trade experience with an affinity for working outdoors is preferred.
- Qualifications in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, hydrography can be beneficial but are not required.
- Experience in environmental monitoring, including water, air, and soils sampling.
- Electronics/mechanical aptitude.
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A valid driver's license.
