Job Title: Specialist Driver Trainer

At Toll Group, we are committed to delivering exceptional logistics solutions that meet the needs of our customers. As a Specialist Driver Trainer, you will play a key role in ensuring the ongoing training and development of drivers across our Bulk Dangerous Goods division.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for managing the Driver Pathways program, which aims to develop and upskill drivers to increase service quality and manage health, safety, and wellbeing. You will also support regional Bulk DG sites and trainers by managing the onboarding of new employees and conducting assessments with existing employees.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in driver training, with experience in developing and implementing training strategies. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Driver Pathways program to ensure drivers are developed and upskilled
  • Support regional Bulk DG sites and trainers by managing the onboarding of new employees and conducting assessments with existing employees
  • Implement Toll Group's driver training strategy, incorporating HSE and continuous improvements considerations
  • Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including management, drivers, customers, and site personnel
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Open MC License (unrestricted) and Cert IV or Diploma in Workplace Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110)
  • Demonstrated experience within a Driver Trainer role in the transport industry
  • SSAN, DG ticket, or dangerous goods experience highly regarded
  • Awareness of Workplace Health and Safety policies and legislation
