Job Title: Storeperson

Join our team at People Group as a Storeperson, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse.

About the Role:

The Storeperson will be responsible for carrying out various day-to-day warehouse functions, including forklift operations, participating in warehouse meetings, and assisting with administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting forklift operations and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods
  • Participating in and chairing warehouse meetings to discuss operational issues and improvements
  • Assisting with warehouse administrative tasks, including data entry and reporting
  • Receiving and storing stock, and ensuring accurate inventory levels
  • Carrying out deliveries and pickups, and loading and unloading trucks and containers
  • Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment, and performing regular housekeeping tasks
  • Using hand and power tools, and performing basic maintenance checks on equipment
  • Packing, strapping, and shrink wrapping goods for transportation

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a shipping or freight forwarding company
  • Positive and professional attitude, with excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, and able to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • High awareness of QHSE requirements, and a current unrestricted driver's license
  • Current high-risk forklift license, and ability to work at heights
