About the Role
Our Residential Aged Care Facility in Melbourne requires an experienced Nurse Unit Coordinator to deliver high-quality, resident-centric care. This key position plays a pivotal role in supervising and guiding care staff to ensure exceptional clinical care is provided at all times.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical care, ensuring compassionate and excellent quality care overnight. Essential qualifications include previous experience as a Registered Nurse in-charge or within a nursing leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing medical care, including assessing health conditions, monitoring vital signs, and managing medications and treatments.
- Undertaking or supervising others to undertake clinical care for individual residents as required, including complex wound care, pain management, behaviour management, end-of-life care, and other clinical procedures as necessary.
- Liaising with relevant Residential care staff, medical, allied health, hospital, and other specialist health practitioners to ensure residents receive high-level clinical care.
