Salary: $110,115 - $120,000 + superannuation

Location: Brisbane preferred, with consideration for other Bureau capital city office locations.

About the Role

The Australian Government is making a significant investment in flood warning infrastructure, focusing on areas with the highest flood risk. This initiative aims to enhance the Bureau's management and maintenance of essential flood warning assets through the acquisition and integration of local and state government-owned rain and river level gauges into the existing network.

The Bureau's Flood Warning Infrastructure Network (FWIN) Program is seeking a seasoned Stakeholder Engagement professional to spearhead collaborative efforts across various Bureau Groups and Programs. The objective is to establish the Bureau as a reliable partner in delivering flood warning services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of dedicated Customer Leads in effective communication and engagement with key government and community stakeholders.
  • Inform stakeholders about the delivery of critical flood warning infrastructure and address project impacts and community sentiment.
  • Develop and enhance the Bureau's stakeholder engagement capabilities in collaboration with emergency management partners.

This role features a dual reporting structure to the Manager of Stakeholder Engagement for the Flood Warning Infrastructure Network Program and the Manager of Hazard, Preparedness, and Response National.
