Lead Engagement Specialist – Flood Warning Systems

Salary: $110,115 - $120,000 + superannuation
Location: Brisbane preferred, with consideration for other Bureau capital city office locations.
About the RoleThe Australian Government is committing substantial resources to enhance flood warning infrastructure in regions with the highest flood risks across the country. This initiative aims to streamline the ownership and upkeep of essential flood warning assets by acquiring, upgrading, and integrating critical rain and river level gauges owned by local and state governments into the existing flood warning network.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of dedicated Customer Leads to engage with key government and community stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication and engagement activities to ensure effective delivery of vital flood warning infrastructure.
- Identify project impacts and gauge stakeholder sentiment regarding flood warning initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of the Bureau's stakeholder engagement capabilities, particularly in relation to emergency management partners.
This position will report to both the Manager of Stakeholder Engagement for the Flood Warning Infrastructure Network Program and the Manager of Hazard, Preparedness, and Response National.
