Job Description

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Mid-Weight Graphic Designer to join our growing team and contribute to our continued success. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing compelling graphic and packaging design solutions that reflect our clients' brand ethos and captivate consumers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative packaging and branding concepts, working independently or with the Creative Director.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and design preferences.
  • Create detailed design specifications and oversee the production process.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to creative strategies.
  • Prepare mock-ups and prototypes for client presentations and feedback.
  • Ensure all designs meet legal and sustainability standards.
  • Prepare sketches, diagrams, illustrations, and layouts to communicate design concepts.
  • Stay current with industry trends, materials, and techniques to enhance our offerings.
  • Negotiate design solutions with clients, management, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Select, specify, or recommend functional and aesthetic materials for print.
  • Detail and document the selected design for production.
  • Archive information for future client use.
  • Use your design skills to convey complex information in an easy-to-understand way.
  • Design and deliver artwork for print, as well as digital assets for the digital environment and social media platforms.
Requirements
  • A Master's Degree in Graphic or Packaging Design.
  • 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in packaging and graphic design, particularly in the healthy food and drink, clean beauty, and wellness sectors.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and working knowledge of Figma.
  • Excellent knowledge of print for packaging and graphic design, both digital and offset, with confidence in liaising with suppliers locally and offshore.
  • Knowledge of cardboard engineering, understanding dielines, and the ability to edit and create bespoke dielines.
  • Understanding of factors influencing packaging production and selection for specific products, and how packaging choices impact a product's success.
  • Demonstrated ideative thinking and a design sensibility aligned with our current portfolio.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and articulate complex ideas.
  • Solid understanding of sustainability and environmentally friendly design practices.
