Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Associate to join our team at Costco Wholesale. As a key member of our bakery department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality products are delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Check cake order stands for special orders and production schedules for daily needs.
  • Pull stock from freezers or coolers to fill merchandising areas and remove products from pans.
  • Garnish and package baked cheesecakes, seasonal pies, and fruit tarts, and process all cakes following assembly instructions.
  • Keep decorating areas clean and clear of debris, and follow proper bakery department, safety, and security procedures and standards.
  • Follow Standard Sanitation Operating Procedure (SSOP) guidelines for equipment cleaning and sanitation, and complete quality assurance and food safety training.
  • Assist with other bakery duties as needed and provide prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Cake decorating or comparable experience.
  • Food Safety Certification and Hazardous Materials Training – Module 1 (within 30 days).
  • High School Certificate or higher.
