Support Worker Job Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and flexible Support Worker to provide a safe, stable, and respectful home environment for young people on remand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support daily routines and encourage positive choices to promote healthy lifestyles.
  • Help participants meet their bail conditions by providing guidance and support.
  • Bild relationships with local youth and promote the service when the residence is unoccupied to foster community connections.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Community Services or 1+ year of relevant experience in working with young people.
  • Experience working with young people, including those with complex needs and diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong communication skills and cultural awareness, particularly with Aboriginal communities to ensure effective engagement.
  • Practical skills in household tasks, documentation, and Microsoft Office to maintain a well-organized living environment.
  • A calm, resilient, and respectful approach to build trust and confidence with participants.
  • National Police Check (within 3 months) and Working With Children Check to ensure safety and security.
  • Current Driver's Licence and First Aid Certificate to facilitate transportation and emergency response.
  • DOJ identity verification and full working rights in Australia to comply with regulatory requirements.
