Job Title

A key leadership role is available for a talented individual to join our team as the General Manager Cartons Australia, based in Sydney.

This position involves successfully delivering on the establishment of a greenfield manufacturing site in Sydney, achieving mid-term P&L goals, continuing to champion a customer first mindset to achieve continuous sales growth, while managing the day-to-day running and safety of the business.

  • Continuing to build upon the Cartons Australia strategy and expand our market share through a customer centric approach, outstanding service, quality product and great people.
  • Leading our people with Opal Values front of mind, with a key focus on a positive safety culture, behaviour and outcomes.
  • Equipping the business with the capability to fully utilise its strengths in manufacturing and customer centricity.

Specifically, for this role, we expect you will have;

  • Held senior sales roles within manufacturing or FMCG previously.
  • A successful track record in a customer focused role leading and mentoring sales teams, focusing on developing a strong customer service culture with emphasis on safety, entrepreneurial selling, service excellence, talent development, product leadership and innovation and the consistent achievement of agreed financial objectives.
  • The capability, drive and energy to take a great business and make it even greater by 'leading from the front' through modelling of appropriate behaviours and commitment to the Opal values.
  • General management experience in a geographically dispersed and customer focused manufacturing, warehousing and distribution B2B business, understanding the key metrics and the levers that can be pulled to achieve targets.
