
Audit Team Lead Role

The Audit Team Lead plays a key role in managing a program of work identified through the annual Audit Plan, leading a small team of professional audit staff and/or contractors to deliver efficient and timely audit engagements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expert advice and support to senior management to develop and negotiate agreement for strategic and annual internal audit plans, ensuring effective coverage of operations according to current and emerging risks.
- Managing staff and overseeing the end-to-end execution of audits to ensure quality deliverables, technical correctness, and presentation standards are met.
- Liaising with stakeholders on audit engagement, providing regular status reports to senior management.
- Actively participating in complex financial, operational, information system audits, and system development reviews to determine compliance with legislation, organisational requirements, and professional/industry standards.
Key Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, along with:
- Experience in auditing, preferably in a public or private sector setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment and provide guidance to junior staff.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
