IT Audit Manager Job Description

As an IT Audit Manager, you will be responsible for managing small to medium-sized teams of professionals and overseeing the planning and execution of IT audit and risk client engagements. This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to provide guidance and support to team members.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead teams of auditors in the planning and execution of IT audit engagements.
  • Evaluate the design and effectiveness of technology controls throughout the business cycle.
  • Develop and present clear and concise reports and presentations to clients.
  • Support business development activities by assisting in the identification of new target clients and developing proposals.

Requirements and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in a related field, such as accounting or information systems, and a minimum of 5 years' experience in IT audit and/or risk management. They will also possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of stakeholders.

  • Background in external/internal audit and/or risk, including IT general controls and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of global frameworks and standards such as COBIT and ITIL.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to coach, mentor and share expertise with team members.
