Therapeutic Specialist
">The position of Therapeutic Specialist at Berry Street involves providing clinical assessments, consultancy, and therapeutic support to the Southern Therapeutic Residential Care program.
">Key responsibilities include conducting assessments and developing therapeutic treatment plans with clear goals, collaborating with clients and care teams to achieve these goals within set timeframes, supporting staff in implementing a holistic approach to supporting young people in out-of-home care, and assisting residential staff in incorporating therapeutic methods into their practice.
">Staff are trained in proactive approaches to crisis prevention and de-escalation, such as Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), and will work closely with young people and the Residential Care team to foster a therapeutic care environment through coaching, modeling, and informal therapeutic conversations.
">Self-discipline is required to provide targeted clinical services within strict timeframes, and successful candidates will possess sound decision-making skills and excellent clinical judgment.
