About the Role

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, the Pastoral Care Practitioner plays a vital role in providing spiritual care and emotional support to residents, families, and staff at Calvary Elanora home in Brighton.

The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to shape the provision of spiritual care, ensuring the diverse spiritual needs of our community are identified and responded to with exceptional sensitivity, compassion, knowledge, and skill.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide spiritual care support to residents according to triage priorities
  • Offer spiritual care support to residents' family members and staff as required
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
About You

We are seeking a highly engaged professional practitioner who is passionate about upholding the dignity of people living in residential aged care and making a meaningful contribution to their wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A tertiary qualification in pastoral care, spiritual direction, counselling, or a similar field
  • Clinical Pastoral Education and/or equivalent
  • Recent experience working in a similar role in aged care, health care, or community care
  • Established skills in preparation, creation, leadership, and facilitation of meaningful rituals
  • Eligibility for SCA certified membership
