Corporate Governance Leader
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Corporate Governance Branch, driving strategic direction and effective governance culture across the organisation.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with a focus on cultural transformation and growth. A tertiary qualification in business, public administration, or law is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and monitor compliance and governance strategies
- Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety regulations and procedures
- Construct and implement methods, processes, and systems to enhance effectiveness and meet branch objectives
- Lead best practice, continuous improvement, and innovation at process and procedure level
- Build and maintain relationships with Councillors, the Executive Leadership Team, and key stakeholders
- Monitor and review external policy papers, providing relevant advice
- Provide regular reporting to stakeholders on emerging trends and potential implications
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years' experience in a similar environment
- Strong, personable leadership experience with a focus on cultural transformation and growth
- High level of integrity and accountability
- High level communication, negotiation, and engagement skills
- Extensive contemporary commercial experience in corporate meetings and registers, governance, risk, and compliance
- Demonstrated ability to lead and drive business planning and implementation processes
- Current 'C' class drivers' licence
- Current Blue Card for working with children or ability to obtain
- Able to receive a satisfactory result for a National Police History Check
