Job Title: Data Systems DeveloperWe are seeking a talented Data Systems Developer to join our team and help drive the development of our backend systems.About the Role

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and implementing backend features within an existing service architecture. They will be responsible for building and maintaining services that power user experiences and internal systems at scale.

The successful candidate will have strong Java fundamentals and a solid understanding of distributed systems and RESTful APIs. They will work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to understand problems and ship high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implement Backend Features: The Data Systems Developer will design and implement backend features within an existing service architecture.
  • Build and Maintain Services: They will build and maintain services that power user experiences and internal systems at scale.
  • Collaborate with Teams: The developer will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to understand problems and ship high-quality solutions.
  • Improve System Health: They will contribute to system health by writing tests, improving observability, and fixing bugs or performance issues.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in Building Backend Systems: Experience in building backend systems using Java in a production environment.

Strong Java Fundamentals: Strong Java fundamentals.

Distributed Systems Knowledge: A solid understanding of distributed systems and RESTful APIs.
