Lead Connections Planning Engineer\

We are seeking an exceptional individual with strong technical knowledge and expertise in electricity network planning, who can lead the development of D-REZs (Distribution Renewable Energy Zones) to accommodate embedded generators, storage and large loads in our sub-transmission network.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading network planning activities, undertaking comprehensive network planning processes, developing strategies to maximise the utilisation of our sub-transmission network, and monitoring 66kV generator compliance.

  • Leading the network planning activities associated with the development of D-REZs
  • Undertaking comprehensive network planning processes to assess network capabilities
  • Developing strategies to maximise the utilisation of our sub-transmission network
  • Monitoring 66kV generator (>1.5MW) compliance
\

A key aspect of this role is the ability to problem solve and find new and unique solutions.

\

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in electrical engineering, power systems engineering or equivalent, and demonstrated experience in the energy industry, preferably within utilities.

\

They will also have advanced technical knowledge and robust experience in electricity network planning, strong knowledge and experience in end-to-end grid connection process, and strong understanding of Chapter 5 and Chapter 5A of the NER.

\

Experience in using electricity network analysis tools and interpreting results is essential.

\

As a forward planner, you will play a critical role in future proofing our service to the Victorian market.
