Job Title: Senior Manager, Assurance Expert

This is a permanent, full-time role based in Sydney with flexible hybrid working arrangements available. As a Senior Manager in our 2nd Line Assurance team, you will provide oversight, insight, and challenge to ensure effective governance and risk management across both delivery and delivered risks.

The key objective of this role is to deliver assurance reviews across large-scale transformation programs, with a strong focus on Westpac's business-led, tech-enabled transformation program – UNITE. UNITE aims to deliver 'one best way' to make processes, systems, and technology simpler, enabling us to deliver a better experience for customers and making things easier for people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead assurance reviews across Westpac's largest transformation program
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to drive effective governance and risk oversight
  • Deliver data-driven insights and reporting to risk committees and executive forums
Requirements:

We are looking for someone who brings extensive experience in project assurance, internal audit, and/or project risk in change. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile) and related tools. They must be able to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across complex programs, producing and presenting insightful reporting to risk committees and governance forums.

A proactive, outcomes-driven mindset with strong customer focus and relationship-building skills is essential. We also expect the candidate to possess skills in data-driven analysis using tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or Copilot.
