About the Role

Monash University is seeking a highly skilled Community Building and Residential Life Leader to join its Residential Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a vibrant and inclusive community within our residential halls, fostering a sense of belonging among residents, and promoting their academic success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement community building programs and events that cater to the diverse needs and interests of residents.
  • Collaborate with the Residential Support team to ensure a smooth and effective transition of students into university life.
  • Maintain open communication channels with residents, responding promptly to their concerns and providing guidance and support when needed.
  • Work closely with faculty and staff members to promote academic success and provide resources to support students' academic goals.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote a safe and respectful living environment.

Requirements

  • Degree qualification in community building, education, or a related field, or extensive relevant experience in residential support.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, faculty, and staff.
  • A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, and creating a welcoming environment for all residents.

What We Offer

  • An attractive salary package, estimated at AU$85,000 - AU$95,000 per annum, depending on experience.
