Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Agronomist to join our team and contribute to the development of specialty fertiliser agronomy business plans.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with demonstrated ability to provide advanced agronomic advice and solutions to horticulture customers, develop and execute agronomy fertiliser business and key customer management plans in collaboration with key stakeholders, identify new client/existing client growth opportunities, actively participate in a collaborative team to meet and exceed shared objectives, and maintain an industry and internal network as well as keep abreast of current trends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Expert Agronomic Advice: Utilize strong technical knowledge to offer expert advice on agricultural production and technology, ensuring optimal crop yields and minimizing environmental impact.
  • Develop Business Plans: Collaborate with stakeholders to create comprehensive business plans, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion in the specialty fertiliser market.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers, both internally and externally, through effective communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Continuously update industry knowledge and stay ahead of current trends, applying this expertise to drive business success.
Requirements:
  • A minimum 5 years' experience as an agronomist with a Bachelor of Ag Science or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated skills in building strong relationships, negotiation, influencing, and communication, with intermediate Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel & PowerPoint + AgWorld (or similar platform).
