This varied position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced branch environment, receiving, storing, and dispatching salvage vehicles. The role provides opportunities for growth and development.
About the PositionWe are seeking a reliable and fast-learning individual to join our operations team at our Newcastle location. The successful candidate will enjoy a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. This role is predominantly based outdoors.
- Booking damaged motor vehicles by taking photos, entering make/model descriptions, and details onto an auction system via iPad
- Locating, moving (using a forklift), and recording vehicle movements
- Conducting daily prestart checks, basic maintenance checks, and completing forklift logbooks to ensure safe activities
- Loading/unloading trucks of vehicles efficiently to process them in a timely manner
- Maintaining a safe work environment and following all policies and procedures
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current, valid driver's license (essential)
- A current, valid forklift license desired but not essential
- The ability to use an iPad
- An interest or hobby in motor vehicles (not essential but beneficial)
- A strong commitment to safety
- Good attention to detail
- Good verbal communication skills
- A keen interest in being part of a strong and healthy workplace culture
