Job Title: Hardware Co-ordinator
We are seeking a skilled professional to manage day-to-day operations across the Data Centres of a leading Australian retailer.
Job DescriptionThe Hardware Co-ordinator will be responsible for managing hardware adds, moves, changes, and removals while ensuring equipment performance, process efficiency, and high-quality customer service. The role involves collaboration with internal support teams, asset and environmental record management, and compliance with relevant standards and policies.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to operational excellence and continuous improvement across a major retail organisation.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate hardware activities including installations, de-installations, moves, changes, and removals of IT, Security, and Networking equipment.
- Monitor, analyse, and improve equipment performance, data centre environments, and procedural compliance.
- Maintain accurate documentation, asset records, site diagrams, and reports while supporting problem/change identification and resolution.
- Liaise with support teams and skill groups, ensuring seamless delivery of hardware co-ordination activities.
- Provide business and non-business hours support through shared on-call arrangements.
- Recommend and implement efficiency improvements to processes, procedures, and service delivery.
- Hands-on experience in Windows and Linux server administration.
- Experience with networking hardware and cabling standards.
- Experience within data centre facilities and environmental monitoring tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Project, and Word.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and participate in on-call rotations.
- A 12 month initial contract with a strong chance of extension.
