About the Company

We are a leading consulting organisation based in NSW, seeking a Safety Health and Wellbeing Advisor to join our team. This role is responsible for providing expert advice and support in delivering specific business unit strategic objectives, plans, management systems objectives, mitigation of safety risks and hazards, the prevention of workplace injuries, the prevention of incidents and occurrences, regulatory compliance and the promotion of a safe culture.

About the Role

This role will support the development and optimisation of safety performance, and demonstrate effective support, influence and drive in establishing and maintaining positive ongoing working relationships with multiple stakeholders across multiple business divisions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert advice and support in delivering specific business unit strategic objectives, plans, management systems objectives, mitigation of safety risks and hazards, the prevention of workplace injuries, the prevention of incidents and occurrences, regulatory compliance and the promotion of a safe culture.
  • Supporting the development and optimisation of safety performance.
  • Conducting investigations as a lead investigator and or participating in large multidisciplinary investigations as requested.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will hold a Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety or Diploma of Occupational Health & Safety, and possess high level interpersonal skills including team, relationship building & conflict resolution. A working knowledge of the NSW Government OHS Management System Guidelines, WHS Act, WHS Regulations and associated Codes of Practice and Australian Standards is also required.
