Key Responsibilities

The culinary team lead plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality meals that meet residents' dietary needs and preferences.

Overseeing daily kitchen operations, this position is responsible for meal preparation, menu planning, and food safety compliance. Working closely with other departments, the chef ensures seamless service and a positive dining experience.

  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring compliance with dietary and texture-modified requirements.
  • Maintain kitchen efficiency by overseeing cleanliness, stock control, equipment maintenance, and cost monitoring.
  • Lead and support the food services team, fostering a respectful culture, supervising staff, and ensuring completion of mandatory training and compliance with food safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance and safety by maintaining an up-to-date Food Safety Plan and adhering to OH&S and Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Engage with residents through collaborative menu planning, themed meals, and cultural celebrations, while responding to feedback and dietary preferences.
