The Chef plays a key role in delivering nutritious, high-quality, and person-centred meals that reflect the dietary needs and preferences of residents. Leading the kitchen team, this role oversees daily operations including meal preparation, menu planning, and food safety compliance. Working in partnership with the Hospitality/Catering Manager, hospitality staff, and other departments, the Chef ensures seamless service and a positive dining experience.

- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, including daily offerings, snacks, and special event catering, ensuring compliance with dietary and texture-modified requirements.
- Maintain kitchen operations by overseeing cleanliness, stock control, equipment maintenance, and supporting budget adherence through cost monitoring.
- Lead and support the food services team, fostering a respectful culture, supervising staff, and ensuring completion of mandatory training and compliance with food safety standards.
- Ensure compliance and safety by maintaining an up-to-date Food Safety Plan, adhering to OH&S and Aged Care Quality Standards, and participating in audits and risk assessments.
- Engage with residents through collaborative menu planning, themed meals, and cultural celebrations, while responding to feedback and dietary preferences.

- Essential: Relevant Qualifications
- Proven experience in supervising and managing a team
- Strong understanding of OHS standards
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (preferred)
- At least 12 months' experience in aged care (preferred)
