With a student enrolment of 955, including 127 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and 72 support students, our school aims to empower each student to achieve their personal best in academic outcomes, school leadership, and community service.

About the Role

This Head Teacher Welfare position requires an experienced educator to lead the wellbeing team, implement and evaluate strategic initiatives, policies, and practices that support student wellbeing and improve learning outcomes for students from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a large wellbeing team using a proactive approach to meet the needs of complex students
  • Collaborate with external agencies, staff, parents/carers, and the wider community to support and case manage students with diverse wellbeing needs
  • Work closely with the school executive to lead whole-school and faculty initiatives contributing to school improvement
  • Develop and implement quality teaching and learning programs that cater to individual student needs
Selection Criteria
  1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning, and classroom practice
  2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare with ability to design inclusive teaching programs
  3. Educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage performance of individuals and teams

The estimated salary for this role is $145,499 per annum, which includes a base salary of $130,094 plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. We are seeking an experienced leader who can drive student wellbeing and achievement in our vibrant and supportive school community.
