About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated educator to join our dynamic school community as a Junior School Teacher - Years 1-2. This is a permanent full-time position commencing in Term 1, 2025.

About the School

Derby DHS is a well-supported school with a range of government infrastructures. Our location near the King Sound and several rivers provides opportunities for boating and fishing recreational activities. We have a highly motivated, supportive, and collaborative staff of over 100 people, with an enrolment of over 600 students from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach reading and maths following a whole school approach.
  • Create and foster student engagement through the development of a supportive classroom environment.
  • Use technology to plan effectively and engage with students.
  • Assess student achievement and progress using various methods.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of educators and support staff.
