Job Description

The Senior Firmware Engineer will lead the development of real-time software for sensing, control, and safety management of our robotic fleet. This role involves collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to specify requirements and develop platform-level libraries that enable modularity and scalability.

  • Develop and lead the development of real-time software for critical sensing, control, and safety management of the robot.
  • Work closely with hardware and software teams to specify requirements and develop platform-level libraries that enable modularity and scalability.
  • Deliver high-quality code in a real-time embedded environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong experience developing firmware in C/C++/Rust for real-time embedded systems.
  • Experience with hardware interfaces such as I2C, SPI, CAN/CAN-FD, UART/RS232.
  • Familiarity with safety-critical system design standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to break down complex problems into actionable incremental progress in a continuous integration development environment.
  • Experience interfacing with motors, encoders, sensors, and/or computer vision systems.
  • Familiarity with kernel-level programming and driver development.
