Accounting Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Operations Manager to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the activities of the Accounting Services Section to ensure timely and efficient delivery of accounting services. This includes providing financial advice, collaborating with business units on solutions, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

The role requires strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to lead individuals through continuous change to deliver organisational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing card, and banking in a large organisation.
  • Apply the Financial Management Act 2006 and Treasurer's Instructions to departmental accounting procedures and practices.
  • Use complex financial management systems and other business software packages.
Requirements
  • Well-developed skills and substantial experience in leading, managing, and facilitating a team.
  • Working knowledge and experience in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing card, and banking in a large organisation.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in applying the Financial Management Act 2006 and Treasurer's Instructions to departmental accounting procedures and practices.
  • High-level skills in using complex financial management systems and other business software packages.
