Join us for a dynamic compositor role at DNEG Sydney, where you will work on high-end live-action feature films.

The Job

As a compositor, your primary responsibility will be to composite the numerous elements that complete a visual effect shot. This includes live-action and computer graphic elements, working closely with VFX Supervisors and 2D Supervisors.

The Work

You will be involved in blue/green screen extractions, complex CG integration, client reviews, and daily sessions. Our compositors follow production methodologies and develop creative approaches to problem-solving while performing all aspects of composite FX design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Minimum of 4 years VFX industry experience as a compositor on high-end live-action feature films
  • Experience using Nuke
  • A knowledge and interest in photography and practical lighting
  • Showreel demonstrating a wide range of high-end work including plate-based compositing, set extensions, full CG shots, and FX and CG integration, all finished to a high standard
  • Ability to manage complex work across multiple senior-level shots

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience as a Roto and Prep Artist
  • Deep compositing
  • Look development experience
  • Experience mentoring junior artists

Contract Details
