Role Overview

The role of a composite artist involves creating visual effects for film and television productions. The artist will work closely with the production team to create stunning visual effects that bring the story to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Composite multiple elements to complete a visual effect shot, including live-action and computer graphic elements.
  • Work closely with VFX Supervisors and 2D Supervisors to ensure high-quality results.
  • Participate in client reviews and daily sessions, following production methodologies and developing creative approaches to problem-solving.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 years' experience in the VFX industry as a compositor on high-end live-action feature films.
  • Proficiency in Nuke and other compositing software.
  • Knowledge and interest in photography and practical lighting.
  • Experience with blue/green screen extractions and complex CG integration.
