About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Manager to lead and mentor our maintenance team in a challenging brownfields hard-rock mining project. The role involves managing and executing maintenance work, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and developing key stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach and develop team members by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance and mentoring others.
  • Manage and execute maintenance work using efficient servicing strategies to achieve targeted service times and schedule compliance.
  • Ensure that work is completed within resource constraints.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager and Superintendents in implementing safety plans.
  • Play an active role in incident investigations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A high-achieving, team-focused individual with a collaborative mindset and drive to deliver in a mining environment.
  • Experience in open cut coal mining is preferred.
  • Mechanical trade certificate or tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering.
  • Extensive post-trade or relevant mobile maintenance experience in a mining environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, environment and the community.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven experience in maintenance planning and condition monitoring.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant mining legislation.
