Apprentice Mechanical Fitter Opportunity

About The Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship is a fantastic way to build a long-term career as a Mechanical Fitter. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience working on real projects that make a difference in the community.

  • You will be part of a team that works together to achieve positive outcomes for our community.
  • During the apprenticeship, you will complete your Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Machining) at Taree TAFE.

As a Mechanical Fitter Apprentice, you will have opportunities to work with other trades across electrical, instrumentation, data communications and automation systems. This will broaden your skill set and future opportunities.

We Are Looking For Individuals Who Are:

  • Willing to learn on the job and ask questions.
  • Interested in maintaining and improving community facilities.
  • Team players with strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Safety-conscious, committed to working safely for yourself and others.
  • Able to commit to study requirements and complete training in a timely and organised way.
  • Hold a current Driver's License.

Remuneration And Benefits

Employment type: Full-time, four-year apprenticeship with paid study time.

Salary (exclusive of super): Starting from $808.30 to $974.50 per week depending on schooling and experience.

Allowances: Adverse Working Level 1, Tool Allowance & Sewer Choke Allowance.
