About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join East Coast Apprenticeships as a Dental Assistant Trainee. As a valued member of our team, you will work closely with skilled professionals, receive top-notch training, and gain the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the dental profession.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and prepare them for treatment
  • Mix materials for fillings; sterilise and prepare instruments
  • Arrange and hand instruments, medication and dental materials to practitioners
  • Prepare dental materials and develop x-rays
  • Use suction devices and water sprays
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment
  • May advise patients on dental health education and post-operative care
  • May act as receptionist for dental practitioners, perform billing and other clerical tasks.
  • Maintaining high standards of infection control
  • Any other tasks requested by the host employer
Requirements
  • Be well presented, enthusiastic, reliable and punctual
  • Be motivated with a positive attitude
  • Must have strong attention to detail & good dexterity skills
  • High level of personal presentation
  • Great listening abilities & compassionate nature
