Regulatory Compliance Specialist Role

This is a senior role that requires strategic planning and leadership to develop and maintain our regulatory compliance framework.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Delve into regulatory requirements to create comprehensive policies, programs, processes, and systems for our enterprise.
  • Conduct thorough reviews, risk assessments, and monitor business activities to instill a culture of compliance.
  • Become the subject matter expert on regulatory mandates, assist in communicating with regulators and legal advisors, and support compliance-related reporting.
  • Offer guidance and assistance to various business units on their compliance obligations and facilitate documentation within our Compliance Management Information System.
  • Maintain and enhance our national licensing and accreditation platform, and act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies for licensing and accreditation necessities.
  • Liaise with business units to grasp current and future works and services being delivered and the associated compliance requirements.
  • Oversee compliance activities, including licensing and accreditation, and aid in preparing Board and Audit & Risk Committee papers.
About You

We are seeking an individual with substantial knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and assurance principles, who can effectively engage with and influence diverse stakeholders.

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a senior compliance, controls, or audit position within a large organisation.
  • The ability to interpret regulatory requirements and advise the business in written and verbal form on related stipulations.
  • The capacity to understand delivery methodology and technical specifications for works and services performed by business units and their subcontractors, including OHS necessities.
  • The ability to work autonomously and proactively engage with key partners in the business.
  • Strong accountability and a collaborative attitude.
  • A university degree in Legal, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is highly desirable.
