The OpportunityWe're seeking a passionate, hands-on engineering lead with an interest in building scalable, distributed financial infrastructure to lead the development of a new platform to power Airwallex Yield. Launched in 2023, Yield is a greenfield product that has achieved incredible success, generating $100 million USD in revenue within six months. As one of the fastest-growing business units at Airwallex, Yield operates like a startup within a startup, offering unparalleled opportunities for innovation and career growth. We're expanding aggressively on a global scale.
The Role- Lead the selection and rollout of patterns and frameworks across the emerging Core Banking Yield squad.
- Responsible for both product delivery and overall health of the Engineering Team.
- Owning the client investment and settlement workflows, reconciliation control, unit registry/investment ledger, and integration rails with our investment providers.
- Experience leading a team of engineers while remaining hands-on.
- Experience solving distributed systems challenges - scalability, consistency, latency.
- Enjoy engaging in collaborative multi-functional teams.
- Mastery of backend technologies, with a focus on Kotlin, vert.x, Temporal, and Kafka.
- Engaged with cloud technologies like GCP/AWS, with additional exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
- Interest in the financial domain.
