Position: Engineering Manager

Location: New South Wales, Australia

Salary: Around $170,000 plus Superannuation

Visa Sponsorship: Available for qualified international candidates

Overview: This position focuses on creating and executing efficient maintenance strategies for all machinery and equipment, including LiSEC systems, to reduce downtime, enhance production effectiveness, and guarantee superior product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership Development: Attract, coach, and maintain a team of skilled engineering professionals, promoting a culture of teamwork, responsibility, and ongoing enhancement.
  • Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Advocate for safety within the engineering division and ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Operational Enhancement: Manage maintenance schedules, resolve equipment challenges, and work alongside production teams to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Project Oversight: Direct engineering initiatives from inception to completion, overseeing budgets, timelines, and resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Equipment Oversight: Lead efforts related to LiSEC machinery, supervise installations, and guarantee the reliability and efficiency of all equipment.
  • Quality Control: Collaborate closely with Operational Excellence and Production teams to maintain quality benchmarks and address any compliance issues.
  • Budget and Sustainability Management: Oversee the engineering budget, identify cost-reduction opportunities, and implement eco-friendly manufacturing practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Significant experience with LiSEC systems and machinery.
  • Demonstrated success in leading a team of maintenance professionals in a manufacturing setting.
  • Relevant higher education qualifications in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Knowledge of the glass processing sector and maintenance software such as MEX is highly preferred.
