The Operations Hub Crew Leader plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our 24/7 water and wastewater networks.

Accountable for leading and managing their own crew on a rotating shift roster, this individual must be able to influence others to deliver exceptional results. With a focus on real-time operational performance, they will work tirelessly to prevent service interruptions and lead the response and service restoration of operational incidents and events.

Key Functions Include:

  • Leading Day of Operations Functions across 20,000 km of assets serving 1.6 million people
  • Providing commercial services to others
  • Utilizing Operational Technology to prevent failures
  • Managing incidents
  • Enacting Operational Protocols
  • Coordinating sim-ops through management of permitting
  • Developing operating discipline
  • Building strong relationships with peers
  • Creating a collaborative culture with a bias for action and replicable, repeatable operations
  • Building capability in operational teams

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • How well operational events are coordinated
  • Ability to lead self and others to troubleshoot complex and emergent operational issues
  • Quickness in containing and resolving issues, minimizing or avoiding impact to customers and the natural environment
  • Communication in a timely manner to relevant stakeholder groups
