Lead HSE Advisor

Shaping health, safety and environmental outcomes in complex Defence environments requires a skilled professional who can drive excellence across operations. This role demands a strong technical foundation, sound judgement, and the ability to influence at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement health, safety and environmental protocols tailored to specialized operational contexts.
  • Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and audit activities to identify emerging risks.
  • Advise on health, safety and environmental considerations throughout the asset lifecycle from capability planning to sustainment.
  • Lead toolbox talks, mentor operational teams, and partner with stakeholders to embed a proactive safety culture.
Requirements:
  • Australian Citizen with a Defence security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • AQF Level 4 Qualification or Equivalent in Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Risk Management or a transferable engineering-related qualification.
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferably within Defence or other high-risk industries.
  • Strong understanding of relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation and industry standards.
