Job Title:

Senior Payroll Specialist

Join a dynamic team and take on a new challenge as a Senior Payroll Specialist.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for processing high volume payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.

You will maintain and update accurate payroll data, including data collection and entry. Your role will also involve processing calculations including back-payments, redundancy calculations, terminations and leave entitlements.

As a key member of the team, you will provide support and guidance to employees on payroll-related matters. You will collaborate and communicate with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll related queries.

You will also support the Payroll Helpdesk as required and ensure that tickets are resolved in a timely manner. Additionally, you will interpret relevant Awards and ensure compliance with internal policies and legislative requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Process high volume payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies
  • Maintain and update accurate payroll data, including data collection and entry

  • Interpret relevant Awards and ensure compliance with internal policies and legislative requirements
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need previous experience in a similar Payroll Officer position within a medium/large scale business. Experience using Chris 21 or iChris is essential.

You will also need an understanding of and experience interpreting multiple Awards/EBAs. High level attention to detail and accuracy are must-haves for this position.

A demonstrated ability to communicate complex matters in a simplified manner is also required. Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work within a fast-paced environment are highly valued.
