Job Title:

Data Engineer - Cloud Computing

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team in Olympia, Washington. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a modern data platform and innovative data science products. This role focuses on data integration, migration, and managing an Enterprise Data Warehouse on Azure.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement data pipelines that combine data from various sources to support research, reporting, and analysis.
  2. Develop and maintain a reliable data processing solution, monitoring and troubleshooting as needed.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
  4. Act as the primary resource for other staff to develop products using this data.
Requirements:

6 years of experience in information technology or software engineering, or a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 4 years of experience.

3 years of experience with information systems, data modeling, relational database design, and knowledge of data structures and software architecture.

3 years of professional experience with Python, Java, Scala, or similar high-level programming language, including familiarity with cloud computing environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with non-relational databases and big data engineering tools and architectures.

Experience with cloud computing, specifically Microsoft Azure PaaS and SaaS services for data engineering and analysis.

Ability to communicate technical and business perspectives.

Ability to examine complex systems to grasp issues, draw conclusions, and solve problems.
