About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering quality language programs suited to delivery in a distance education context. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a qualification to teach one or more of the languages offered at our school, a thorough understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum: Languages, and experience delivering engaging programs to language students in a primary and/or lower secondary context.

  • Teach language courses at various levels, including ATAR level;
  • Develop and deliver curriculum-aligned language programs;
  • Cater for students with diverse cultural backgrounds and needs;
  • Exhibit innovation and creativity in classroom practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be suitable for this role, you must:

  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration;
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment;
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting;
  • Consent to and obtain a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
