We are seeking a seasoned Maintenance Supervisor to spearhead our field maintenance team. This is an exceptional opportunity to enjoy a balanced work-life schedule while contributing to a high-performing maintenance team.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of planned and routine maintenance on our equipment fleet. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading by example, maintaining high expectations for site safety standards and fostering a consistent, high-performing team.
  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders across mining, engineering, and planning teams to ensure delivery of safe and efficient maintenance outcomes.
  • Providing leadership, setting clear expectations, upholding accountabilities, reviewing performance, and providing constructive feedback to the team.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Coordinating with external vendors and suppliers to procure necessary parts and equipment for repairs.
  • Identifying and implementing continual improvement strategies in safety and technical matters.
  • Reporting incidents, hazards, near-misses, and non-conformances and participating in incident investigations.

We require an individual with:

  • A mechanical or electrical trade certificate and/or tertiary mechanical/electrical engineering qualification.
  • Previous HME maintenance supervisory experience within an open cut mining environment.
  • Heavy plant maintenance experience: Dragline, Liebherr and Hitachi Excavators and Drills.
  • Knowledge of relevant mining related legislation.
  • Ability to make data-driven risk-based decisions.
  • Strong frontline leadership skills with effective written and verbal communication.
  • Previous exposure to a Maintenance Management system.
  • Completed or willingness to complete Effective supervisor training.
