The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Director to join our growing economics practice in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, or Perth.

As a Director, you'll be part of our economics leadership team, leading the ongoing profitable business growth and development of our national economics service offering.

You'll showcase your leadership and management experience in supporting staff growth and development, through on-the-job coaching and mentoring, and strong people management and leadership skills.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Apply your economics expertise to policy formation and evaluation, analysing the economic effects of policy changes and investments.
  • Analyse complex problems in changing policy environments, developing innovative economic policy recommendations.
  • Generate new public sector work through activating and building on your existing network, engaging with and developing professional networks.
  • Contribute to commercial outcomes through disciplined financial management of projects.
  • Promote the relevance and purpose of policy economics and evaluation principles to our overall business development strategies and brand and reputation.
  • Support a high-performance culture, nurturing and developing individual staff members through effective coaching and mentoring.
About You

This role would suit someone with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, with economics and consulting background and a combination of the following competencies:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Economics or a similar field of study.
  • Experience leading economic policy businesses in a professional services firm.
  • Experience in business cases using value-for-money principles, including cost benefit analysis, cost effectiveness analysis and multicriteria assessment methodologies.
  • Demonstrated advanced written and verbal communication skills, including producing well-written and insightful reports.
